Abstract

(1) The uptake of sulfanilate by wheat leaves has been investigated.It confirms the fact that the process follows Fick's law of diffusion.
(2) For the translocation of sulfanilate in wheat leaves,the types of diffusion curves of "base to tip" were found to be different from those of "tip to base".
(3) The measurements of Q10 and Q5 indicates that within the physiological range of wheat,the temperature effect on absorption can be calculated exactly by Einstein's equation.An empirical formula which enables one to obtain the same result simply by semilogarithm plot has been suggested.
